Rocco and I enjoyed a nice leisurely stroll through the park yesterday. Since Pete wasn’t with us Rocco was able to explore to his hearts content. We took all the little ‘off trail’ excursions - which is only two, but they were fun.
We went down the waterfall trail which he LOVED! The grass along the path is long and he loved running in it - I can only image that 1. it tickles so he likes it and 2. he feels like a lion stalking it’s prey. LOL
The next little trail took us down to the water which he loved - this was about the only time I had the chance to get my phone out and take pictures (he was too crazy running through the tall grass for me to grab a picture on my own!). Only issue was that he wanted to stay down there! I had to force him back up a little path that turned out to not be a path - the scratch on my leg proves we trekked through the brush to get back to the path!
I think we need to go back to the Rocky River Reservation which is trails rather than paths - I think we both enjoy it much more.
Here’s our course - see, I wasn’t setting any records with my pace - and you can see our path is a little crazy! Rocco totally lead the way! (Note that for the last 2 miles Pete was with us - so we stayed on the path and our course is more conventional!)
